Who we are
Thannis Aviators LLC is a US-based retailer of professional aviation gear, operating from Traverse City, Michigan. We are the authorised United States dealer for Design 4 Pilots, the Austrian manufacturer of flight bags, kneeboards and pilot accessories.

Thannis Aviators was founded by a working pilot. We started carrying the Design 4 Pilots range because we were already flying with it — the gear held up in the cockpit, and there was no straightforward way to buy it in the United States without importing from Europe and waiting weeks for it to clear customs.
What we sell
We stock the full Design 4 Pilots range for the US market:
- Flight bags — the Pilot Case Airliner trolley, Pilot Backpack, Weekend, Crosscountry and Daily
- Kneeboards — Piccolo, Piccolo Profi, Rookie and the i-Pilot tablet range
- Pilot accessories — logbook covers, wallet sets, fuel testers, replacement wheels and support legs
- Textiles — pilot caps, polo shirts and the P.J. General Aviation jacket
Every product is manufactured by Design 4 Pilots in Austria and Germany. We do not manufacture, rebrand or modify anything we sell.
Why buy from us
We are the authorised US dealer. Buying from us means genuine Design 4 Pilots product covered by the manufacturer's warranty, not grey-market stock imported through unofficial channels.
We ship from Michigan. Orders leave our fulfilment centre in Traverse City, so US customers get domestic delivery times and no customs charges or import paperwork.
We know the products. We fly with the same bags we sell. If you want to know whether a headset fits alongside a tablet in the Weekend, or which case survives being wheeled across a wet ramp, ask us — you'll get an answer from someone who has done it.
Warranty support is handled here. If something goes wrong, you deal with us in the United States rather than corresponding with a manufacturer in Europe.
